The Anglesey Sea Zoo
The Anglesey Sea Zoo is Wales’ largest marine aquarium. Sited right on the shore of the Menai Strait against the stunning backdrop of Snowdonia, its a great day out whatever the weather.

Anglesey Model Village, Newborough
Wales’ most popular model village, featuring models of Anglesey’s many landmarks. All built to one twelth scale with working garden railway set in beautifully landscaped gardens with water features. Tea Room, play and picnic areas with children’s ride-on train.

Beaumaris Castle (CADW)
Begun in 1295, this unfinished castle is the last and largest of King Edward I’s Welsh fortifications. Designed by the king’s mason-architect, Master James of St George, it is a perfect example of a concentrically planned castle. Formidable defences survive, surrounded by a partly restored moat. World Heritage Site.

Beaumaris Gaol and Courthouse, Beaumaris
This Victorian Gaol was built by Hansom (famous for the Hansom Cab) in 1829. The gaol features the only working tread wheel in Britain and a gibbet is still fixed to the wall.

Museum of Childhood, Beaumaris
Every room, every exhibit, breathes the Magic of Childhood. A visit to the Museum of Childhood Memories is a uniquely memorable experience. The collection is of absorbing interest to adults and children alike. From an historical angle, it illustrates visually the habits and interests that brought pleasure to families over the past 150 years. The Museum’s collection of about two thousand items is housed in 2 adjoining buildings making up 9 rooms, each having a different theme.

Plas Newydd (NT), Llanfairpwll
Plas Newydd garden has both formal and informal styles. With magnificent views of the Snowdonia Peaks. The open-plan garden containing shrubs planted in the lawns to the more formal Italian-style garden to the front of the house. Where the conservatory once stood on the top terrace, there is now an arbour with water falling to a pool, with its Italianate fountain, on the bottom terrace. Major restoration of the Italiante garden is on-going including replanting of the mixed borders and the construction of a deep grotto.

RSPB:South Stack Reserve (Elins Tower), Holyhead
Enjoy a close-up view onto a wonderful cliff-side nesting colony, with binoculars and telescopes provided. You’ll be able to watch guillemots, razorbills and puffins all raising their young, while live television pictures give you an even closer view of the nests! Rare choughs can also be seen on the reserve.

Stone Science, Talwrn
A family owned, friendly museum of geology and archaeology with a difference. Inside are a series of dioramas depicting the evolving ages of the earth, including Dinosaurs. There are thousands of fossils, minerals, crystals, Native American arrowheads, etc. to see and many to touch. Videos for children and adults.

You can not only relax in our luxury WTB-approved four-star farm accommodation (we have three rooms with ensuite whirlpool baths!), but (if you want to) you can also go fishing or birdwatching, or enjoy horse-riding. We have our own riding centre, and can offer you bespoke packages for riding holidays including Bed & Breakfast for horses. Some of our guests come to ride, but most just come to enjoy a peaceful rural location.
